
Ferdinando, Cyrille, Arsène, Jean-Nil et Hélène Raymond (Normand L’Écuyer)
At Domaine Saint-Dominique, following an active life, surrounded by his loved ones, Normand L’Ecuyer passed away on January 4, 2026, at the age of 89. A man of heart, he was a loving husband and a strong pillar for his family and friends. Normand was also a passionate teacher who guided generations of students in mathematics, and a committed member of the team of volunteers at Maison Michel Sarrazin.
We will remember the image of his joyful look and blue eyes, reflections of his kindness, wisdom and joy of life.
He was the husband of Hélène Raymond (late Jean-Nil Scalabrini) and the son of the late Edmond L’Ecuyer and the late Madeleine Naud. In his first marriage, he was the husband of the late Marie-Paule Lirette.
A religious service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Saint-Michel-de-Sillery Church (1600 Cardinal-Persico Street, Quebec G1T 1H3) where the family will receive condolences starting at 12:30 p.m.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Louis (Anne Blanchet), Josée (Richard Racine) and Bruno (Mariya Sweetwyne), and the children of his wife, Pascale Scalabrini (Marc Ferland) and Karine Scalabrini (Simon Gingras). He was the grandfather of Paul, Félix (Éva-Maude Boucher), Sabine, Cécilia, Samuel, Émile and the great-grandfather of Lauralie.
He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from the L’Écuyer, Raymond, Lirette and Scalabrini families, as well as several nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. He joins his brothers and sisters who died before him.
